Overview

Image super resolution has been one important topic for researchers and
companies that deal with image acquisition technology limitations. Acquisition
technology is improving very fast form a performance point of view. However,
there are physical restrictions that can only be solved for now using software
processing strategies. This is particularly true in the case of super resolution
methodologies. However, there doesn't seem to be a systematic analysis about
the different types and families of super resolution methods developed so far.
This paper is aimed at studying the rationale behind many of the state-of-the-
art single-image SR techniques, giving a common validation strategy to validate
them.

Super-Resolution Toolbox

26 Single-Image Super-Resolution methods available in the literature have been collected in this Matlab toolbox.

Remote Sensing Image Datasets

6 simulated remote sensing image datasets have been generated to test the methods' Super-Resolution performance.

A Practical Overview

This manuscript reviews the considered Super-Resolution methods as well as tests their performances using remote sensing imagery (submitted).
